BREAKING NEWS!

Welcome to the "Decoding News Sources" LibGuide!

Here you can gain the resources you need to determine whether a source claiming to represent current news is credible.

Credibility in a news source is important because the news can have lasting repercussions on a society when fake news, "alternative facts," or misrepresented data is represented as factual or otherwise presented out of context.

Use this guide when evaluating topical news sources, especially those found online through social media sharing.

The problem with quotes found on the Internet is that they are often not true. Quote by Abraham Lincoln.
