Can I come inside the library?

Absolutely!

As a dual credit or dual enrolled HCTC student you have the same privileges as traditional students. You are elgible to apply for a library card, check out print materials and audiobooks, use audiovisual and genealogy materials in the library, and use any online resources available. 

So, what does HCTC Library have?

We have:

  • Fiction (literary, mystery, horror, sci-fi, romance, fantasy, historical, etc.)
  • Graphic Novels
  • Non-Fiction (historical, medical, science, social, political, technology, etc.)
  • Periodicals
  • Government Issued Publications
  • Atlases
  • Dictionaries & Encyclopedias
  • Genealogical Sources

We also have online resources such as e-books, digitized magazine and newspaper articles, and online scholarly and trade journal articles.

Those are accessible via our online databases which can be accessed off campus using your KCTCS email and password.

HCTC Library has two physical locations; Stephens Library on the Hazard Campus and Lees College Campus Library on the Jackson (Lees) Campus.
