Step one:

Create a video viewing event using Microsoft Teams. Create a Teams Channel for your course. Under settings you will find the option to generate a Teams Code. This is required to meet the terms of the Films on Demand License Agreement for viewing. Share this code with students so they can join the channel.

In your Teams channel settings, you can generate a code to share with students to create a private link.

Step two:

Schedule a meeting (can send via Outlook appointment invitation). Begin Teams meeting within the channel accessible only with the code generated in step one.

After sharing a code to access the Teams channel, you will share video by creating a meeting and inviting the students with the provided code.

Step three:

Once you begin the meeting, you can share content from your device by clicking on the up arrow at the top right of the Teams window. Select the Films on Demand webpage with the queued video you intend to show. Make sure you select the button to include computer sound so video audio is shared. Mute your mic to avoid feedback loop.

While in the Teams meeting, share content with students, in this case the webpage with the Films on Demand video queued. Make sure "Include computer sound" is turned on so that video audio is shared with students. Mute your mic to ensure there is no feedback loop.

Users can share links to videos and/or segments of videos by selecting the Share button beneath the video.

The generated link will have the library's proxy code already inserted so users who are off-campus can access with their KCTSC email and password.

Videos/segments of videos can be added to a playlist and that playlist can also be shared via link.
