Testing & Education Reference Center & Learning Express Library

The Testing & Education Reference Center (TERC) provides career advice, job search tutorials, resume advice, and professional development and career outlook information on a variety of career paths. You can also study for a qualifying exam, assess your knowledge using a subject quiz, and take a career assessment to determine what professional paths you might enjoy.

Once you are on the main TERC page, go to the Careers tab located at the top of the page and select Law Enforcement Careers from the drop down menu:
Once you are on the Law Enforcemnet page in TERC you will be able to take a variety of career practice tests and read several online books that will help you prepare for these tests:

Create an account by registering or log in to an existing account.

From the Learning Express Library homepage, select the first tile beneath the search bar labeled "Career Preparation."

Beneath the tile drop down menu, click on "Prepare for an Occupation Exam."
Click on the expand icon beneath "Prepare for an Occupation Exam" to access Law Enforcement Practice Exams on the right side of the drop down menu.

National Association of Police Organizations
The National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) is a coalition of police unions and associations from across the United States that serves to advance the interests of America's law enforcement officers through legislative and legal advocacy, political action and education.
National Criminal Justice Association
Based in Washington, D.C., the NCJA represents state, tribal and local governments on crime prevention and crime control issues. Its members represent all facets of the criminal and juvenile justice community, from law enforcement, corrections, prosecution, defense, courts, victim-witness services and educational institutions to federal, state and local elected officials.
